Description
The base spectrometer is the perfect starting point in Raman spectroscopy. It features a 4.5 mW laser which can readily be used by students in the context of a classroom experiment. It is sufficient to identify most non-halogenated solvents and powders although its resolution is somewhat limited compared to the upgraded spectrometers.
Want to move further? The OpenRAMAN base spectrometer can easily be upgraded with more accurate or powerful laser, lower noise cameras or enhanced filter sets.

The base spectrometer is shipped assembled and calibrated with a Certificate of Calibration. The package contains:
- An OpenRAMAN base spectrometer with 4.5 mW laser
- A laser power supply
- An ethernet switch with ethernet patch cables
- An assembly/maintenance manual
- The SpectrumAnalyzer software
Please note that the base spectrometer unit is not shipped with a cuvette. You will need a cuvette in addition to the spectrometer to analyze samples.
